Pack the Chapel Weekly Events

Everyone is always welcome to join in prayer during these times:
  • Dec. 2 (Tues): Reconciliation - during B and C lunch in the Campus Ministry office. Stop by during your lunch period!
  • Dec. 4 (Thurs): Advent Penance Service. Students will have the opportunity to celebrate the sacrament of Reconciliation during their 6th period class. Students: report to your class, and your teacher will let you know when you will head to reconciliation.

Spare time? Borrow a book from the new Trojan Stacks -- currently located in the Student Life Center and Room 302, with more to come. Grab a book and keep it for as long as you need. Return to any Trojan Stack when you're finished. No sign outs or need to ask. What is Trojan Stacks?
  • Season of Giving Christmas Drive: Dec. 1-4: From December 1–4, at Door #10 during SILAS Period, the girls lacrosse team will be collecting diapers, onesies, children’s books, and toys for little ones – newborn to age two.
  • Latinos Unidos Meeting - Dec. 2 (Tues): 8am in Silas West. See Mrs. Arteaga for more info.
  • Mock Trial Practice - Dec. 2 (Tues):- 3:30-5pm in Art Room A. You also have practice on Saturday from 9am-12pm. See Mrs. Johnson for more info.
  • Improv Christmas Show: Dec. 3 Join the BCHS Improv Team at their Christmas Show -- Home Alone Unscripted. The show is Wed, Dec. 3, 2025, at 7:00 pm in Guyton Theater! Free admission. All are welcome!
  • Rosary-Making - Dec. 3 (Wed): 3:30-4:30 pm in Room 312. Join Ms. Bath in making rosaries after school and earn a service hour! Don't know how to make a rosary? Ms. Bath can teach you!
  • Investment Club Guest Career Speaker: Dec. 4 (Thurs): during SILAS at 8 am in Room 310. Come listen to Ross Eckart (Mrs. Eckart's husband) speak about his experience working for Charles Schwab. All are invited to attend, not just Investment Club members.
  • Spring Musical Audition Prep Session Dec. 4 (Thurs): 3:30-4:00 pm in the Music Room. Never done this before? Have some questions about auditions? Or just want to be super prepared? Come by and get some answers about how to audition for the spring musical, Cinderella! See Mr. Zavaleta for more info.
  • Boys Rugby Info Night: Dec. 4: 6:00 pm at Northside Events Center (Knights of Columbus). For parents and interested students. Details
  • Senior Directed One-Act Plays: Dec. 12, 13: Friday: 5 & 7 pm; Saturday: 7pm. Buy your tickets today for the 2025 Senior Directed One Act Plays, all written and directed by BCHS seniors! Tickets are $5 and available online. Only 88 seats per show. Info and ticket sales

Christian Service Opportunities

Semester I service hours are due December 8, 2025.

Area 1 Opportunities: Service to BCHS, Parish or Faith Community

  • Peer Tutor Club: If you are in National Honors Society/Spanish National Honors Society/SUMMA, need service hours, or just want to help your fellow classmates, then you can join the Peer Tutor Club! Fill out the survey! Someone from Guidance will be in touch with you when someone is looking for a tutor. Sign up here
  • St. Matthew's Church Opportunities: St. Matthew's could use your help for the following events and dates. Contact Mrs. Pam Fleming (pfleming@saintmatt.org) if you are interested!
    • Children’s Liturgy of the Word during the 9:30 am Mass
    • Shepherd's FLOCK, a program designed to help adults with developmental disabilities grow in their spiritual life. The group meets monthly on a rotating basis from 6:00 to 7:30 pm
    Additionally, St. Matthew’s is in need of athletic department help. They need folks to run the concession stand, take tickets, keep score at basketball games and more. Contact Eddie Keever at eddiekeever@hotmail.com.
  • IHM Sunday School Help: Immaculate Heart is looking for students to assist with their Sunday Family Faith (Sunday school) program. They meet on Sundays from 10:30-11:45. Contact Ms. Blandford (kblandford@ihmindy.org) for more info or to sign up!

  • Free SAT, AP, and Math Tutoring via Schoolhouse.world for grades 8-12. Free tutoring for SATs, math courses, and Advanced Placement (AP) courses. Live small-group tutoring via Zoom will focus on SAT reading, writing, and math as well as AP course tutoring in calculus, statistics, chemistry, biology, physics, and computer science.
