Spare time? Borrow a book from the new Trojan Stacks -- currently located in the Student Life Center and Room 302, with more to come. Grab a book and keep it for as long as you need. Return to any Trojan Stack when you're finished. No sign outs or need to ask. What is Trojan Stacks?
  • Flex Day Schedule: March 9: Following Period 2. Students will be dismissed to the gym by class for guest speaker Darin Odier.
  • Investment Club Guest Speaker: March 10 (Tues) - all are welcome: Mr. Schmitz, private banker, will be a guest speaker on Tues, March 10, from 7:45-8:30 am in Room 310. Snacks provided! Info & RSVP here
  • Final Ski Club Outing - sign up by March 9: See Ms. Surinak email for signup link. On Fri, March 13, check in at 2:45 pm in the Cafeteria. See Mr. Knight or Ms. Surinak for more info.

  • Improv 'March Madness' Show -March 11 (Wed): 7pm in the Theater Room. It's FREE! Swing by and see a great show.
  • Dad's Day Breakfast - March 17: Archbishop Thompson will be the speaker. Don't forget to remind your Dad (and/or mom, grandparent, etc.). Info & RSVP

Christian Service Opportunities

Area 1 Opportunities: Service to BCHS, Parish or Faith Community

  • Peer Tutor Club: If you are in National Honors Society/Spanish National Honors Society/SUMMA, need service hours, or just want to help your fellow classmates, then you can join the Peer Tutor Club! Fill out the survey! Someone from Guidance will be in touch with you when someone is looking for a tutor. Sign up here
  • BCHS Mass Setup (each week): BCHS Campus Ministry could use help setting up for Mass each week. Meet in the main gym during Silas to help out and earn an Area 1 Service Hour!
  • Christ the King Babysitting - April 17: Christ the King is looking for students interested in babysitting in Tuohy Hall on April 17th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. as part of their Families of Young Children Date Night. Sign up here!
  • St. Matthew's Church Opportunities: St. Matthew's could use your help. Contact Mrs. Pam Fleming (pfleming@saintmatt.org) if you are interested!
    • Children’s Liturgy of the Word during the 9:30 am Mass
    • Shepherd's FLOCK, a program designed to help adults with developmental disabilities grow in their spiritual life. The group meets monthly on a rotating basis from 6:00 to 7:30 pm
  • IHM Sunday School Help: Immaculate Heart is looking for students to assist with their Sunday Family Faith (Sunday school) program. They meet on Sundays from 10:30-11:45. Contact Ms. Blandford (kblandford@ihmindy.org) for more info or to sign up!

Area 2 Opportunities: Service rooted in Catholic Social Teaching

  • Clothe-a-Child - March 14: the Indianapolis Optimists Club will host a Clothe-a-Child event where children from the East 10 Street After Care Program are invited to shop for spring and summer clothes and shoes. The event will take place at the Castleton JC Penny store. Volunteers are needed to help children shop for new clothes. Be a buddy to a child in need.   • Second Helpings - March 17: Join Ms. O'Brien to serve at 2nd Helpings on Tuesday, March 17th from 3:30 to 7:30! Sign up here!
  • Servants at Work: Servants at Work could use help building handicap-accessible ramps. This is a great organization that not only serves others but also teaches carpentry skills. About Servants at Work. Here is a video of what to expect. Sign up here to help!
  • AYS (At Your School): This not-for-profit student-support organization working with students at St. Lawrence School is looking for volunteers for their before and after-school programming.

  • Free SAT, AP, and Math Tutoring via Schoolhouse.world for grades 8-12. Free tutoring for SATs, math courses, and Advanced Placement (AP) courses. Live small-group tutoring via Zoom will focus on SAT reading, writing, and math as well as AP course tutoring in calculus, statistics, chemistry, biology, physics, and computer science.
