Senior families: join us on Wed., Jan. 8, 2025, from 5-7:00 pm in the cafeteria to get some help filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)! There is no formal presentation, but professionals from INvestEd Indiana will be there to answer any questions you have. There will also be translation assistance available for Spanish-speaking families!
- The FAFSA application is now open.
- Many colleges have their own priority deadlines for the FAFSA. We encourage families to attend this event to ensure your FAFSA is completed for these deadlines.
- Indiana requires each Indiana senior to complete the FAFSA by April 15, 2025.
- To complete the FAFSA, each student AND parent must have a FSA ID. See details below
- Consult the December Senior Newsletter for additional information.
Students make an account first and then invite a parent/guardian to be a “contributor” to your account.
It is CRITICAL that you enter your parent/guardian email and Social Security Number correctly. What you enter and what your parent/guardian enters need to be IDENTICAL. (Street vs St., etc.) Fill this out with them when it prompts you for it!

Further Details for the meeting
- Have your FSA ID setup for both student and contributor at least a week before the meeting
- Bring a device for you to work on (recommended). An iPad is fine.
- Consult the checklist (link above) for items you’ll need to file the FAFSA.
