Two members of the BCHS Boys Swimming/Diving Team advanced to state competition in the 2024 Swimming/Diving IHSAA tourney.
Jack Steadham competed in the 50 and 100 Free at IUPUI during state competition.
Competing in the 50 and 100 free is no easy feat, especially in such a fiercely competitive environment. Making it back to the finals in the 50 free is a testament to Jack’s hard work and talent. With a time of 21.32, Jack secured 13th place in a field that was incredibly fast this year. He also competed in the 100 free and finished 17th with a time of 46.90. BCHS coaches and fans are immensely proud of his achievement and know he gave it his all out there.
Donovan McMahon finished 21st in the State Diving competition with a score of 173.65.
Making it to the state meet in diving in Indiana is a huge achievement in itself. The level of competition is incredibly high, and Donovan’s dedication and skill brought him so close to the final round. Just being part of that competition is a testament to his talent and commitment to the sport.
The coach, school and fans couldn’t be prouder of Jack and Donovan, and are grateful for the dedication and hard work they’ve shown throughout the season. They’ve represented the BCHS swimming/diving program with honor and have set a high standard for the future. Let’s continue to build on this success and keep pushing ourselves to new heights!
Congratulations Trojans!
