Classroom presentations for course registration for student’s 2025-26 schedule are in progress:
- Junior Class: Week of January 27: View Presentation
- Sophomore Class: January 23-25: View Presentation
- Freshman Class: Week of February 10: View Presentation
After presentations, students should:
First: Explore and Choose 2025-26 Courses
Second: Enter Course Requests into Power School
- Many students begin this process during classroom presentations
- Students will find teacher recommendations in PowerSchool as well as course prerequisites which can guide them in their decisions.
- Instructions for entering requests can be found on our School Counseling Canvas Page and in the student presentations.
- Be sure your courses are selected before you schedule a meeting with a counselor.
Third: Schedule a Meeting with a Counselor
- Sign up for a one-on-one meeting with their counselor using the links found on our School Counseling Canvas page.
- Students should bring their Course Selection packet they received during presentations.
- Parents typically don’t join students for these meetings, but are welcome to reach out to counselors with any questions or concerns.
Course requests are final by April 10, 2025 and all further changes or requests will be subject to space and availability.
BCHS will build the master schedule for the school in April based on student requests. Schedules will be released to students in July. We ask that you and your child are thoughtful and intentional about course requests. It is not always possible to make course changes once the schedule has been built. More details about our Drop/Add policy can be found in the student presentations linked above or in our BCHS Student Handbook.
We are here to answer any questions you may have about your child’s schedule or diploma track. We also monitor student selections closely to be sure they are on track for their diploma type.
