The Guidance Department at Bishop Chatard High School offers academic support, personal support, high school, college and career guidance to the high school student through class counselors and support personnel. We are always available to answer any questions you may have.
College Information Night for Freshmen, Soph and Jrs: April 26
All students and parents are invited and encouraged to attend College Info Night on Monday, April 26 at 7 p.m. College admissions representatives will be at Bishop Chatard to present information about their colleges and universities, answer questions, and talk about the college search and admissions process. Representatives from Marian, Butler, Indiana State, Ball State, Purdue, and Indiana universities will be present. This valuable opportunity is open to all freshman, sophomore, and junior students and parents.

SAT Prep Class at Bishop Chatard begins Jan. 27
Attention juniors:
BCHS is once again offering an SAT preparation course. Classes will meet on Wednesday evenings, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in room 214, beginning January 27 and ending March 10. Interested students are asked to bring a check for $125 to the guidance office to reserve their place in the class. Questions can be directed to Mary Wheatley, mwheatley@bishopchatard.org.
SAT and ACT one-day seminars by ZAPS
ZAPS Learning Company will host a one-day test preparation seminar at Bishop Chatard for students taking the SAT or ACT exams. The SAT seminar will be held on Sat, Feb. 20, and the ACT seminar will be on Sat, March 6. Each seminar will run from 9am to 3pm. The fee for the five-hour seminar is $79 for one or $150 for both.

Alumni Career Program
Alumni tell what their career is like during activity period
Interested sophomores, juniors, and seniors are invited to join BCHS alumni as they discuss their careers and answer your questions. Coming career speakers for 2010 will be posted as they become available.
Study skills workshops available to students
The BCHS Guidance Office is offering students a series of workshops focused on study skills. Students who would like help with the following are asked to visit the guidance office to sign up. The workshops are being offered during activity period in the St. Thomas Aquinas Center and will begin the week of Nov. 23.
