New Sports Field was dedicated
On Saturday, Oct. 10, IndyParks hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Riverwood Park (7301 Crittenden Ave.) to dedicate the new park and sports field facility. A partnership between Indy Parks and BCHS has enabled the fields at Riverwood to become the practice and home fields for BCHS boys and girls soccer and lacrosse teams! The goal is to have the fields ready for competition play by next spring! See "Chatard and IndyParks partner" article on the right for further details.
After-School Student Life Center is created
By day, the Bishop Chatard Media Center serves as a place where students can locate books, conduct research and create presentations. After hours, the Media Center converts into a Student Life Center where students can comfortably wait for a ride home or for after-school activities to begin. The Student Life Center provides both the opportunity for quiet study or the chance to hang out and socialize with friends in a supervised environment.
