Anthony recently competed in the state wrestling meet, coming in 8th in the state in the 171lbs class.
Summer Grade School Camp Schedule
Each summer BCHS offers various sports camps for grade school age children. The camp dates and times have been posted. These are available throughout the upcoming months on the "Camps" or "Summer" links above. Registration forms will be posted as they become available. Link to schedule
Boys Swim Team sets school records in Sectionals
The boys swim team had an outstanding performance at the Sectional Finals. The medley relay comprised of Stephen Grote, Danny Keiner, Liam Marra, and Michael Holland dropped time and placed sixth. The 200 free relay of Matt Davis, Eddie Fischer, Jay Cougan, and Liam Marra and 400 free relay of Stephen, Jay, Eddie and Michael were awesome and dropped significant time. To finish the season strong and end their high school careers on a high note, Michael Holland set the bar higher for the school's record in the 50 and 100 free and Stephen Grote dropped another second in his 100 backstroke to make that school record even harder to break. Way to go boys and seniors; your leadership and drive have been an integral part in leaving an excellent swimming legacy at Chatard.
'10/'11 Cheerleader Tryouts are scheduled for April
Bishop Chatard High School Cheerleader try-outs for the 2010-2011 school year will be held Monday, April 5, 5:30 - 8:00 PM and Saturday, April 10, 8:30 AM - 12:00 PM in the auxiliary gym. An informational meeting, prior to try-outs, for interested candidates and their parents will be held on Monday, March 29, 5:30 - 6:30 PM in the school cafeteria. All incoming freshman and current students who are interested in cheerleading at Bishop Chatard are encouraged to attend. Mark your calendar: Athletic Physicals Night is June 1
Athletic Physicals Night at BCHS is the primary opportunity for all student-athletes to get their 2010-11 athletic physical accomplished. Remember ALL athletes are expected to have their physical paperwork on file in the Athletic Office before they begin SUMMER conditioning activities (NOT official practices, but any pre-season conditioning). Cost of the physicals is $20 per person. details and forms
Girls Swim team places 4th in Sectionals
Congratulations to the girls swim team for a 4th place finish at Sectionals. Spectacular job to 200 Medley Relay (Spenser Johnson, Kathleen Weaver, Andrea Sergi, and Marianne Sergi) and 400 Free Relay (Andrea Sergi, Laura Oldiges, Mandy Meiner, and Kathleen Weaver) for placing 3rd and all the girls made personal best times in their events. Thanks to the boys and girls team that painted themselves blue and cheered the team on Thursday and Saturday. We definitely had the best school spirit! Support the boys and girls team this Wednesday by eating at Applebees in Broad Ripple. See the announcement below for a flyer to bring with you to dinner!
