Bishop Chatard High School offensive lineman Zach Martin has been selected to play in the Under Armour All-America High School Football Game in Orlando, Fla., on Jan. 4. The event is a collaboration between ESPN and Intersport and will be nationally televised. "It's something I wanted to do," said Martin, who orally committed to Notre Dame before the season. "It will be fun to go up against guys that are really talented." A week of practice will precede the game. Martin's parents and coach Vince Lorenzano and his family will be attending the event, which includes a trip to the Citrus Bowl. It's one of two high school football all-star games -- along with the U.S. Army All-American Bowl -- that generally draw from the top 100 recruits in the country. Martin will be the second Trojan to participate in one of the games, joining defensive lineman Ryan Baker, who played in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in 2004. "It's an honor for him," Lorenzano said. "It's nice for our program to be seen as a national-type program, to get the publicity, and it's exciting for his family." Copyright 2008 IndyStar.com.
