During the week of June 30 to July 4, all offices at BCHS will be closed. This is the first of two sport moratorium weeks for the school, and no athletic practices or games will be held.
Bishop Chatard's second sport moratorium week is scheduled for July 28 to Aug. 1. While no sport practices or games will be held, school offices will be open during that week.
All BCHS students are reminded to have their summer reading requirements completed prior to the beginning of the 2008-09 school year. More information about summer reading is available under "Academics" on the left.

Middle and high school students interested in honing their music skills during the summer months are encouraged to contact BCHS music teacher Amy Fry. On Wednesdays between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., Ms. Fry is offering free music lessons at Bishop Chatard. Instruments taught include flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, baritone, tuba, guitar, bass and piano. Please contact Ms. Fry at 251-1451, ext. 2239 to schedule your lesson time.

Volunteers are being organized now to staff the BCHS Spirit Shoppe during the 2008-09 school year. The Spirit Shoppe is open daily during the school lunch period from 11:15 to 1 p.m. Volunteers can work once or twice a month, weekly, or as often as fits into the individual's schedule. If you would like to volunteer and become a part of this important BCHS Booster Club initiative, please contact Susie Young at 774-8877 or dyoung8939@sbcglobal.net. A short training session will be held prior to the start of the school year.
